We admit: we love wine – especially Austrian wine! We are convinced that Austria has excellent wines for every palate. Learn more about Austrian wineries and their wines at our wine tastings and every Monday when we open a special large bottle. Need some advice? Don’t be shy, ask about the right wine pairing for your meal – our three sommeliers will be more than happy to help!

Patrik came to Kleinwalsertal from Germany. Here he transformed from a beer drinker to wine lover and is responsible for our wine list, purchasing and tastings.

An exclusive experience: Erlebach wine tasting

A holiday is the perfect time for wine tasting! What an excellent opportunity to taste different wines in an easy-going atmosphere as you learn interesting new things. Chat with the other participants and discover the wide variety of fine wines together. See, smell, taste – treat all your senses at a wine tasting! In summer, wine tastings at the Hotel Erlebach are held on our beautiful terrace in good weather. In winter, depending on the number of participants, we meet in the wine cellar or lobby. Taste seven to eight wines as our sommelier explains the taste, colour, flavours, origin and other interesting details.

Here's how it works:

Registration: Sign up at reception by 11:00 am on the day of the wine tasting. If a winemaker is visiting us that day, the wine tasting is held as part of a gourmet meal – please register for the gourmet meal and wine tasting one day in advance.
Duration: A wine tasting lasts about 2 hours. Wine tasting as part of our gourmet meal lasts about 3 hours.
Number of participants: Minimum 4 participants; no minimum for wine tasting as part of our gourmet meal.
Start: Wine tasting begins at 4:00 pm; if a winemaker is visiting, it begins at 6:30 pm as part of our gourmet meal.

Non-hotel guests: You can also book a wine tasting without food or as part of our gourmet meal even if you are not staying at the Hotel Erlebach.
